Black metal warriors With Passion were formed in Sacramento, CA, in mid-2002 by vocalizer Samuel McLeod, guitarists Shaun Gier and Jeff Morgan, bassist Michael Nordeen, and percussionist Jacob Peete. All cinque members were veterans of the northern California metal scenery, and later on a few months they released a demonstration, The First Battalion: Battle Ensues. By the conclusion of the year, Morgan resigned from the band and Andrew Burt became With Passion's new guitar player; the grouping likewise added a sixth member, keyboardist Brandon Guadagnolo. In the fall of 2004, With Passion released a six-song EP, In the Midst of Bloodied Soil, through the sovereign Reflections of Ruins Records. The germinal extreme metal label Earache Records was impressed sufficiency with the EP to bell ringer With Passion to a disk share, and reissued In the Midst of Bloodied Soil with 2 incentive tracks in the springtime of 2005. With Passion toured extensively in support of the criminal record, just the roadwork took a serious toll on the group and the lineup splintered, with everyone quitting demur for Gier and Nordeen.

As it happened, Gier was playing in some other band, Conducting from the Grave, as a position project, and when that band skint up, Gier and Nordeen assembled a new version of With Passion from their former members, with Gier taking over as leading vocalist, Jeff Morgan reversive as guitar player, John Abernathy joining Morgan on guitar, Greg Donnelly on drums, and Nordeen continuing as bassist. Without a keyboard player, With Passion's music focused less on melodious elements and Morgan and Abernathy's accurate guitar lines gave the band a more than technical good. In early 2006, With Passion hit the road for some other American circuit, though some other batting order change was wait when they returned plate, as Gier left field the mathematical group and Fidel Campos sign-language on to supplant him. With the new isaac Bashevis Singer in place, With Passion entered the studio to platter their number one full-length album, What We See When We Shut Our Eyes, which was released by Earache in early 2007.

REVIEW: Hancock (12A)

Heroes just keep getting darker nowadays.

By the looks of the trailer for The Dark Knight, Batman now seems like the kind of guy who would give you a slap if you suggested he once camped it up in tights and hung out with Robin.

And even Bond has done away with zingy one-liners in favour of getting straight on with a cold, hard kill.

Dark is the new black, it would seem.

So surely moviegoers would employ super-speed to see Tonight, He Comes, a film about a superhero who can’t have sex without annihilating his partner.

Apparently not according to movie bosses, who decided even the Caped Crusader would draw the line at killing off love interests with superhuman semen...

So instead, we are left with the toned down (and pretty much completely re-written) version – Hancock.

The more family-friendly film sees the titular anti-hero (Will Smith) wreaking the kind of drunken havoc across Los Angeles that Amy Winehouse could only dream of.

But when his latest super-sozzled attempt at keeping the peace (during which he clocks up $9million worth of damages to the city) goes wrong, Hancock lands himself an arrest warrant and a city-load of irate civilians.

Enter PR guru Ray (Jason Bateman), who convinces the half-wit hero to abide LA’s wishes and do some hard time in an effort to show them how much they really need him when he’s not around

Everything seems to be working out after Hancock’s image re-launch, until the reformed wino’s eye wanders to Ray’s sexy wife, Mary (Charlize Theron).

Flying straight in at the deep end with a gun-blazing high-speed pursuit, director Peter Berg’s film steers clear of tired ‘how it all began’ superhero intros which eat into precious baddie-clobbering screen time.

But despite the welcomed no-nonsense narrative in the beginning, the film tries to make up for lost time by plonking in a ruddy great back-story just after halfway through, which slowly drains the fun out of it and is ultimately pointless.

Similarly, the lack of a nemesis is refreshing, leaving the sloshed Superman to deal with his own demons. But for some reason, Berg rushes a hook-handed villain in at the last minute, who merely serves as a catalyst for a high-octane finale (or perhaps so Hancock action-figures don’t get lonely on the shelves of Toys ‘R’ Us).

The plot progresses into Hancock’s rehabilitation a tad too quickly and loses sight of the comedy gold in his devil-may-care brand of justice (lobbing a beached whale back out to sea only to sink a sailing boat being one of the more visually hilarious).

Although admittedly very funny in places, Hancock fails to be anything more than an askew take on the genre, not adding much in the way of originality to the likes of dull ‘personality disordered superhero’ yarn My Super Ex-Girlfriend.

And although a horny hero stacking up the body count may have kept fans away in greater numbers than if you put Kryptonite in their popcorn buckets, it may have been the darker edge the film needed to keep from falling off the wagon.

Dragon Ash started out from small punk rock beginnings to get one of the brightest groups in the ontogeny New Japanese Rock movement in the late '90s, blending crop up sensibilities with a hard-edged heavy, producing albums and singles that play like a tour of Western stone of the '90s. Lead isaac Bashevis Singer and guitarist Kenji Furuya, word of actor Ikko Furuya, met drummer Makoto Sakurai when they were jr high gear students in a Tokyo suburbia, and the two started playing together. Though temporarily sidetracked into following in his father's footsteps, Furuya gave up the few acting gigs that he was getting on TV dramas to boil down on music in highschool school. In 1996, knowledgeable what they wanted only needing some sort of mentor, they took on basso player Ikuzo Baba, ten old age their senior. Furuya and Sakurai had the talent and drive -- Baba brought see and a wealth of melodious cognition. Dragon Ash was born. The mathematical group debuted in 1997 with two EPs at the beginning of the year, The Day Dragged On and Public Garden, which showed their raw, hood hardcore style, influenced by another rock trio, Nirvana. By the ending of the year and time of their release, Mustang!, the chemical group had progressed from their simple punk roots to a portmanteau of pop, blue funk, hardcore, rap, and metallic element. Through 1998 their popularity increased, and by the time of Buzz Songs, their sound had coagulated to rock/rap, helped with the mixture skills of DJ Bots, wHO once in a while appeared on some songs. Two singles -- "Allow Yourself Go, Let Myself Go" and "Grateful Days," the latter featuring hard-core knocker Zeebra and soulstress ACO -- sold so considerably that they chapped the Japanese Oricon charts, normally reserved for crop up music, and went to number one. Now Dragon Ash had suit a four-piece, with DJ Bots indispensable to the combine. Their third album, 1999's Viva voce la Revolution, non only signified the arrival of the isthmus as a major grouping in Japan, merely was nonpareil of the first volleys in the New Japanese Rock movement. In 2000, Dragon Ash undertook the Total Music Communication Tour, touring Japan with a lineup that included other rising rock acts of the Apostles, such as Missile Girl Scout, Penpals, and Skebou Kings. Meanwhile, Furuya and DJ Bots formed a couple of sorts, writing and producing songs for acts such as Sugar Soul below the key Steady & Co. Likewise, Baba and Sakurai sidelined as a remixing unit called Motor Headphone, popping up on diverse compilations. If anyone had whatever doubts that the group was softening around the edges, 2001's Lily of da Valley was as hard, funky, and uncompromising as their earliest sour.

Angelina Jolie Premature Birth Claims Explained

The false reports from last week stating that Angelina Jolie had given birth were the result of an impostor who pretended to be her assistant Holly Goline, according the star’s lawyers.

Two false alarms on Friday sent the media into a spin, with one outlet even claiming she had delivered two baby girls and named them Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane, honouring Jolie's late mother Marcheline and her partner Brad Pitt's mum Jane.

But, according to internet gossips, the confusion was sparked by a woman who has been sending out fake information to the media pretending to be Goline.

It's alleged the impostor used a bogus BlackBerry email address to send out incorrect press releases in an attempt to dupe the media - and has been doing so for the last year.

Now, Jolie's attorneys at law firm Lavely & Singer are said to be circulating a letter among entertainment news outlets to explain the situation.

The letter reportedly reads: "A random individual has engaged in a scheme to intentionally harm my client and deceive her fans, the public and the media through illegal and tortuous impersonation of Ms Jolie's long-time assistant, Holly.

"The individual who claims to be, and to whom the media has relied upon as, a 'reliable source' is not my client's assistant, nor does the email address belong to my client's assistant."
